So, here we are again. Starting a BIG trip by cooling our heals at (or in this case near) an airport. Since our flight is from Newark, at 7am, we decided that the best thing to do was to spend the night at an airport hotel, and park the car there for the length of the trip (by far the cheapest way to get to and from Newark). So here we are, at the Wyndham Newark - the good thing about starting in Newark is that it can only get better and more exciting... Then again, that a rather low bar.....
As a fun exercise, I challenge anyone to find the entrance to the hotel fron the highway on the first try... It took us driving literally in circles for what felt like a very long time (but was only about 15minutes) - we could see the hotel more than once, but no way to get there - even with both Garmin and the IPhone trying to help AND printed directions...
Anyway, tomorrow early, it's off to Alaska! having gone to Antartica, and then the Nordics, I guess we just like cold climates and are going back for more. Where will we go next? Greenland? (actually, that sounds pretty cool.....).
Hopefully, by tomorrow evening, I will have some picture of Anchorage (hoping for some early moose sighting).
